This isn't an ordinary plastic dog collar buckle.
The premium FIDLOCK® V-Buckle combines magnetic guidance with a secure mechanical locking system. Magnets help guide the buckle together for quick, intuitive closure, but the magnets aren't what keep it closed. Once engaged, the mechanical locking system provides the secure hold.
The V-Buckle is self-securing—the greater the load, the more force required to open it—while an intentional pull on the release allows quick, intuitive removal when you want it open.

- Main double D-ring for the leash: approximately 0.98" inner opening and 0.20" thickness.
- Mini D-ring for ID tags: approximately 0.39" inner opening. Attach your leash to the main D-ring, not the tag ring.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure my dog for the right collar size?
Measure around the base of the neck where the collar naturally sits, with the tape snug but not tight. You can also use non-stretch string and measure it against a ruler. Measure twice and compare with our collar size guide; choose by neck measurement rather than breed or weight alone.
How snug should the collar fit?
Adjust it for a secure, comfortable fit with room to slide two fingers underneath without forcing them. It should not press tightly or slip over your dog’s head.
Will the Large fit a Cane Corso or other extra-large dog?
The Large adjusts from 16–26 inches and fits many large and extra-large dogs. Individual neck measurements vary, even within the same breed, so measure your dog and check the size guide before ordering.
How secure is the magnetic FIDLOCK® buckle?
Magnets guide the buckle together, but they aren’t what keep it closed. Once fully engaged, the mechanical locking system secures the connection. An intentional pull on the release tab opens it; always check that the buckle is fully engaged before a walk.
Which D-ring is for the leash, and which is for tags?
Attach the leash to the main aluminum D-ring. The separate mini D-ring on the logo tab is for ID tags only, keeping tags out of the leash connection.
What size are the collar’s D-rings?
The main double D-ring has an approximately 0.98-inch inner opening and 0.20-inch thickness. The mini ID-tag ring has an approximately 0.39-inch inner opening. These are approximate inside-opening measurements, not outside dimensions; they do not guarantee that every clip will fit.
Is the collar designed for strong dogs without feeling bulky?

Should I use this collar or the no-pull harness for walks?
The collar’s main D-ring is suitable for walks with dogs that don’t pull. For front-clip control to help redirect pulling, choose the Rugged Dog No-Pull Harness. You can use both: the collar carries identification while the leash attaches to the harness.
Is the collar reflective?
Yes. Reflective stitching is integrated into the polyester webbing to help improve visibility when light hits it during low-light walks.
How do I care for the gear?
Hand wash with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. Check the webbing and hardware regularly, and replace damaged gear.
