Serious Chewer Upgrade Pack
Rugged Dog Serious Chewer Upgrade Pack
Built for Power Chewers.
The Rugged Dog Serious Chewer Upgrade Pack is designed for power and aggressive chewers that destroy standard chews too quickly. This pack focuses on size, density, and functional variety—including XL, very large and thick Himalayan yak cheese chews (approximately 6.5" long 5–6 oz each)—to deliver longer-lasting chew time and better results for high-drive dogs.
Packaging may state “Monster” (bully sticks) or “Jumbo” (beef cheek rolls). This reflects the same size and weight standards used for our Gargantuan tier.
Instead of relying on a single chew that may not suit every dog, this upgrade pack provides a rotation of three proven, rawhide-free chew styles, each selected to support dental health, extend chew time, and perform reliably for dogs that chew often.
Selected for Substance
Not all chews perform the same — even when they look similar.
Every chew in this pack is selected for thickness, density, and real-world durability, not just length or appearance. That’s why this upgrade pack holds up better for heavy chewers and power chewers who apply constant pressure.
What’s Inside the Serious Chewer Upgrade Pack
- Gargantuan Beef Cheek Roll (9–11") (3 Pack)— thick, spongy, digestion-friendly
- 12" Gargantuan Bully Stick (Single) — dense, weight-selected durability
- XL Himalayan Yak Cheese Chew (~6.5" long) (3 Pack) — very large, thick, and long-lasting
Three curated chew styles in one convenient pack, giving serious chewers variety without the guesswork.
Gargantuan Beef Cheek Roll — Spongy, Digestible Bully Alternative
Rugged Dog Company Gargantuan Beef Cheek Rolls (9–11") are designed for high-drive dogs and strong chewers that need durability without extreme hardness.
Beef cheek offers a firm chew with slightly spongy resistance, encouraging steady gnawing instead of rapid break-down. This makes it an excellent alternative to bully sticks, especially for dogs that prefer a softer chew texture or have sensitive stomachs.
Weight Transparency You Can Trust
- Net Weight (Single): 230–280 g (8.11–9.88 oz)
Natural variation is expected, but every roll meets our Gargantuan, extra-thick standard for power chewers.
Beef Cheek Benefits
- Spongy texture encourages prolonged chewing
- Easier digestion for dogs sensitive to harder chews
- Rawhide-free alternative to traditional chews
- Natural chewing action helps reduce plaque and tartar
12" Gargantuan Bully Stick — Dense, Weight-Selected Durability
Our 12" Gargantuan Bully Sticks are built for aggressive and power chewers that overwhelm standard bully sticks.
Most bully sticks are sold by length alone. We don’t do that.
Rugged Dog Company selects bully sticks based on thickness and overall weight, working directly with suppliers capable of producing consistently heavy sticks, then further grading for power-chewer performance.
Why Thickness and Weight Matter
- Selected for thickness and weight, not just length
- Extra-thick profile intended for heavy chewers
- Dense texture resists fast break-down
- Supports dental health through natural chewing
Weight Transparency
Gargantuan Bully Sticks typically weigh approximately 76–110 g, with a target average around 90 g.
As a natural product, exact weight, color, and shape will vary, but every stick is selected to meet our extra-thick, power-chewer standard.
XL Himalayan Yak Cheese Chew — Long-Lasting Bully Stick Alternative
Our XL Himalayan Yak Cheese Chews are made using traditional methods from Himalayan yak and cow milk sourced in Nepal.
These chews are very large, thick, and slow to soften, providing a longer-lasting alternative to bully sticks for dogs that chew hard and benefit from a firmer chew.
Typical weight range: 5–6 oz per chew
Yak Cheese Benefits
- Longer-lasting alternative to bully sticks
- Firm texture promotes extended engagement
- Highly digestible for regular chewing routines
- Natural chewing action supports dental hygiene
Feeding & Safety
Always supervise your dog while chewing.
Choose the appropriate size for your dog’s chewing strength. Remove small or broken pieces to reduce choking risk. Provide fresh water at all times.
Natural variation is normal. Color, shape, thickness, and weight may vary slightly due to the single-ingredient nature of these chews.

Good quality yak chews. My pup really likes the smell and taste of these chews! Very durable
Hi Louise! We're so glad your pup enjoys the yak chews and finds them durable. Thanks for sharing your positive experience!
Great quality thick chews! My pup loves the smell and taste of these bully sticks. Amazing for 30 minutes of chew time!
Hi Louise! We're so glad your pup enjoys the bully sticks and that they provide a good chew experience. Thanks for your wonderful review!
So I have 2 Staffordshire Terriers, Ike and Ti na Turner Compton, and I have 2 4 month old Pitbull Terriers, Sly and Stone Compton. Besides the Yak Cheese, I also ordered 6" Bully Sticks, and 12" Bully Sticks, both the Gargantuan varieties.
I can not tell you how delighted I was when I received their treats and opened the box.
Between the packaging, and the size of ALL the treats, I was floored. I have always had multiple companions, 3+ the last 25 yrs, and I have ordered a lot of treats, from many companies. After a while you get a pretty good idea of cost to size and quality of treats available, and I was pleasantly surprised by the clean neat packaging, the size of treats (and I mean ALL of the treats were sizable, sometimes you might order treats and get a range of sizing, typically not uniform throughout each individual treat but these, every one of the treats were uniformly gargantuan, BUT more over, the quality of ALL the treats were impressive. I will be ordering again. My crew loves them, and whatever makes them happy, makes me happy. Thank you Rugged Dog Company!
I'm a retired disabled veteran, Navy, we have a term for a job well done, it is BZ!
James,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. Hearing that the quality, size, consistency, and packaging exceeded your expectations means a lot to our entire team.
We're especially glad to hear that Ike, Tina Turner, Sly, and Stone are enjoying everything. It sounds like you've got quite the crew of power chewers!
Most importantly, thank you for your service to our country. We truly appreciate it. And coming from a Navy veteran, we'll proudly take the BZ!
Thank you for trusting Rugged Dog Company with your crew. We look forward to taking care of all of you again!
My golden LOVES her Yak Cheese! She will non stop chew on it and it has lasted longer than other chews we have tried and also keeps her very happy and occupied! Definitely going to be getting her some more!!
Amber, this is awesome to hear—thank you for sharing!
Sounds like your golden found a new favorite. That’s exactly what we aim for—something that actually keeps them busy and lasts longer than the typical chew.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review (and the photos are great). Give her an extra scratch for us!

Highly recommend these even if you have a smaller dog. Our lab-chihuahua mix is obsessed with them. She chews on these for over an hour every time we give it to her and actually have to take it away from her at night. They are much longer lasting than other similar treats on the market.
Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for the review — this is awesome to hear.
That’s exactly what we aim for with these — long-lasting chew time that actually keeps dogs engaged (sometimes a little too engaged 😄).
W really appreciate you calling out that they work well even for smaller dogs too — that helps a lot of other customers.
Such a great “busy” chew! We have a dog that goes through chews so fast and we couldn’t believe it when we gave this to him and he chewed on it for an hour and barely made a dent! Highly recommend for a dog that finishes chews in record time. We will be buying another one once we need to.
Jamie — this is awesome to hear.
When a dog that usually flies through chews slows down like that, you know it’s doing its job.
Appreciate you taking the time to share this (and the pics — great dog).
We’ll make sure you’re stocked up when it’s time for the next batch.
My dog went absolutely nuts when we gave this to her! She gets SO excited when we pull it out for her to chew on and barely leaves it alone! I can't recommend this the high enough!!
Love this — that excitement is exactly what we want to see. 🙌
Yak chews are great for keeping them busy and giving them something they actually look forward to.
Pro tip: if you ever want to make it more of a challenge, you can place the chew inside our Work-to-Eat toy to turn it into a puzzle.
Sounds like she’s hooked already. Appreciate you sharing this (and the photo)!
These yak chews are massive! Dogs love them!
These are amazing! Great size, raw-hide free, and keeps our dogs entertained for for quite sometime.
I think it's just not for her. It's either too big for her (she's a 7 month old lab). She works at it, then loses interest. I think she prefers the bully sticks and a chew with a flavor.
Hi Laura, thanks for sharing what your Lab enjoys. Our large beef cheek rolls may be more chew than she wants right now, and every dog has different preferences. Please contact hello@ruggeddogcompany.com so we can help you find a size and texture that better suit her. We appreciate the honest feedback!
I have 3 GSPs and two of them love these. Keeps them engaged for hours
Thanks, Carolyn! We're glad the bully sticks keep two of your GSPs happily occupied. It's great to hear what works for each dog in your crew. We appreciate you choosing Rugged Dog Company!

Our lab puppy had yak cheese for the first time and went crazy. She tossed it around; pounced it; hid it in the couch; “found it” and enjoyed it for over 30 minutes until I put it away. Great product and shipped quickly. Will order again.
